Attention Seniors, the Weatherford Noon Lions Club is offering the Larry Mangrem Scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for a student who is planning to attend the University of Texas at Austin. Students will need to complete an application and enclose a one page essay explaining how the scholarship will help them to achieve their academic and career goals. Applications are available in the Student Services Center and are due on May 12, 2015.
Also, the Em Strickland Scholarship for $500 is available for a well-rounded senior with a financial need to attend college. Students will need to complete an application and enclose a one-page essay and one letter of recommendation to apply for this scholarship. Applications are available in the Student Services Center and the deadline to apply is May 15, 2015.
