Introduction to Cosmetology

Welcome to Cosmetology! 

In Introduction to Cosmetology, the students explore what it will be like to pursue a career in the beauty industry. Topics discussed include but are not limited to infection control, chemistry, hairstyling, anatomy, hair and scalp properties, electricity, skin structure and growth, life skills and communication. To prepare for success, students must have academic and technical knowledge and skills relative to the industry. Students may begin to earn hours toward the state licensing requirements.
