Seniors- Class of 2025 Information
*Check your credits for graduation.
*Double-check your schedule for appropriate classes for college.
*Write to colleges that interest you to request catalogs, applications, housing and financial
aid information.
*Familiarize yourself with the admissions process for each college you are considering.
*Decide on housing. Read the application material carefully to learn about application
procedures. Adhere to deadlines. Housing is in short supply on many campuses.
*Visit college campuses. Contact the college directly to see about College Days
or College Weekends offered by many schools.
*Begin looking for scholarships that apply to you. Note deadlines.
*Register for the SAT/ACT (with optional essay)
*Be aware of Early Decision/Early Admission deadlines.
*Develop an Application Checklist to keep track of college application deadlines, tests, recommendations, and essays required, housing deadlines, etc.
*Continue applying for scholarships. Check with your counselor. Be aware of deadlines!
*Complete applications for colleges with a December deadline. Request transcripts.
*Take SAT/ACT (with optional essay)
*If it is necessary, apply for housing if you haven't done so already.
*Request recommendations from appropriate persons. Give them adequate time to do this
since they may be working with several students' requests.
*Continue working on college and scholarship essays.
*Visit with college representatives or military recruiters who visit your school or
community.
*Visit the college fair
*Complete college applications with a December or early January deadline by the first week in December.
*Review finances with your parents. If financial assistance is needed, assemble necessary records to complete the financial aid forms.
*Because of Christmas break, it is important to request transcripts and letters of recommendation needed for scholarships, college applications and financial aid forms with December and early January deadlines before school dismisses for the holidays.
