The Texas Trial Lawyers Association is offering a $1,000 scholarship for students who have the ability to do college level work and also have financial need. The applications are available in the Student Services Center and the deadline for the application is March 30, 2014. Students will need to enclose a completed application, a transcript and report card, two letters of recommendation, a list of school or work activities, and an essay titled "Why the jury is the cornerstone of the civil justice system". Be sure to pick up an application if you meet the qualifications for this scholarship.
