The infrastructure beneath your car, the prices listed at your local business, the constitutional rights that safeguard your speech, and the interest rates shaping future job markets are not random events. They are the deliberate outcomes of governance, legal design, and economic incentives.

In this room, we examine how these forces operate. Whether we are analyzing the foundational principles of the U.S. Constitution or modeling how central banks manage inflation, our purpose is to build the critical tools needed to participate thoughtfully in our constitutional republic and global economy.

On-Level Social Studies (TEKS-Aligned)

• U.S. Government

  The Foundations of American Democracy & Civic Responsibility. Built on the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) framework, this course examines the origin, structure, and function of national, state, and local governments. We analyze the fundamental principles of the U.S. and Texas Constitutions—including federalism, limited government, individual rights, and checks and balances. Students explore political processes, voter rights, and civil participation, learning how citizens influence policy and fulfill civic responsibilities.

• Economics (with Emphasis on the Free Enterprise System and Its Benefits)

  The Mechanics of Economic Freedom & Individual Choice. Aligned with Texas standards, this course focuses on the core principles of the free enterprise system—private property rights, voluntary exchange, market competition, and economic freedom. Students investigate supply and demand dynamics, market structures, business organizations, and the role of government intervention. The course integrates practical personal financial literacy, preparing students to evaluate risk, manage credit, and make sound financial decisions.
