At their Regular Meeting on December 11, 2023, the Weatherford ISD Board of Trustees approved the 2024-2025 school calendar as recommended by administration. The recommendation of this calendar reflected the results of the WISD Calendar Survey of parents, staff, community members, and students.

While we welcome the rain that is forecast for Thursday, September 14th, we also know it could affect our ability to hold the WHS Homecoming Parade. As a result, Weatherford ISD administrators will be closely monitoring tomorrow’s weather.

We do not anticipate canceling the parade for light rain, however, if the forecast indicates there will be heavy rain, strong winds, and/or lightning during the staging period or during the parade, will need to make a decision with everyone’s safety in mind.

Staging for the parade is scheduled to begin Thursday afternoon at 4:30 pm; the parade is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm.

Should we need to cancel the parade due to weather, we will announce by 4:00 pm tomorrow afternoon.

Friday, September 15, 2023 and Monday, September 18, 2023 are student holidays.

Homecoming is right around the corner and features our traditional Homecoming Parade! Weatherford High School invites you to take part in this year’s parade that will be held on Thursday, September 14th at 5:30 pm. The theme is “Lights, Camera, Action!”

The first day of school for the 23-24 school year is Wednesday, August 16, 2023. To access the school calendar, click on the headline or visit www.weatherfordisd.com/calendars .

Weatherford High School students will receive school supply lists from their teachers during the first week of school. Students should bring paper and a pen/pencil for the first day of school.

The Weatherford ISD Education Foundation provides school supplies to WISD students. Parents needing assistance with school supplies should notify their child's campus principal, assistant principal, or counselor.

The company that took photos of each senior at graduation will email the proofs to families in a couple weeks at the parent email address in Skyward.

Weatherford High School is once again offering summer learning opportunities for those Roos who may need to make up some credits from the previous school year. This year our summer programming will be held in the cafeteria. Students will work on computers through a self-paced curriculum with the assistance of a certified, in-person teacher.
