Jill Dunn - Deaf Education Teacher

I have my Master of Science degree in deaf education and am a basic certified sign language interpreter in Texas. Previously, as a deaf education aide, I have worked in every level from prekindergarten to high school.  I started at a communication aide at Wright Elementary.  I have been teaching for 13 years with grades 2-12.

I know that your precious child, your pride and joy, will be entering my classroom every day.   I truly thank you for having the confidence in my ability to be your son or daughter’s teacher.   I promise to give my very best!   I am determined to teach, inspire, motivate, and encourage your child in all aspects of life, not only academically.

I have extremely high expectations of all my students, and for that I will not apologize. I am asking for your help to maintain those expectations.  Please help me motivate your child by encouraging them to come to school, arrive to class on time, and to try their very best. Of course, I understand that all children do not work at the same pace.   I will help your child reach their full potential by addressing their needs individually.

My husband, Brian, and I have been married for almost 4 years.  My daughter, Charlotte, is 3 years old.  My daughter, Madelynn, is 1 year old.  I have 2 labradoodles, Bo and Mia.  I love to garden and grow my own fruits and vegetables.

A few of my favorite food and drinks are: Reese’s Cups, Plain or Peanut M&M’s, Kit Kat Bars, Regular or Puff Cheetos, Cheddar Sun Chips, Grape Gatorade, Sprite, Dr. Pepper, Gold Peak Sweet Tea.
