Welcome to my class! Teaching the reading, writing, and thinking skills relative to AP Language, AP Capstone, and Dual Credit ENGL 1301 and 1302 is my passion. Growing you, my students, into the readers, writers, and thinkers who make a difference in the world, from your own small corner of it to the national and world stages is my purpose. The joy I find in teaching you is unparalleled. I am a reader, writer, and thinker, and I invite you to join me in growing these skills to serve the academic and life goals you determine are your purposes.

- This year begins my 26th year in teaching, 25 of which have been here in WISD. I welcome you to my classroom! I am inspired by the study of language and literature, and I will inspire the students in my classroom to be informed citizens, capable of communicating with a persuasive, academic voice. I will also, though, do my best to insure that they leave with a joy and appreciation for reading and writing.
