I was not on campus this day, and we had a substitute.  The classes went out to the parking lot in front of the school and the SRO gave them a "tour" of his police vehicle, and explained the equipment and tools they use.  Students had a worksheet to complete after they saw the vehicle to answer a couple of questions about what was discussed.

students will individually research a law in the TEXAS PENAL CODE (NOT traffic laws, CCP, TABC code, health code, etc).  The student will present the Title of the Statute (the name of the law), citation, list the elements of the crime, and the punishment.  The student will then design a poster, create a powerpoint, or other creative option to present the information to the class.

student groups were assigned in class projects to read, discuss, and then make a poster regarding a constitutional amendment in the Bill of Rights, as they effect law enforcement issues.  Groups then presented the simplified "in understandable English" version of what their amendment means.
