Craft Fair & Carnival This Weekend

On October 11, Weatherford High School will be holding it's Sixth Annual Kangaroo Craft Sale. The event will be held at the high school, and will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The craft sale will feature vendors from all around the DFW area and beyond. They will be providing a wide variety of items that will appeal to consumers. Longtime organizer Christine Goss believes that anyone can find something to shop for.

"The craft sale is amazing," Goss said. "There are so many different types of vendors that there is literally something interesting for everyone. We have everything from clothes, toys, memorabilia, holiday decor, and tons of other interesting vendors."

While parents come to the craft fair to shop, they are invited to bring their children along for the We Are One Carnival. This year's carnival will be held in conjunction with the craft fair, and will be held outside while the shopping is happening inside. According to carnival organizer Keri Wagner, it was a purposeful decision to hold both events together.

"The day will provide lots of entertainment for the kids, and allow the parents to get a jump on their holiday shopping," Wagner said.

Proceeds from the craft sale go toward this spring's senior class prom, and carnival proceeds will go toward all WHS booster clubs.

All students, faculty and community members are encouraged to come out on Saturday and support WHS, while getting an early start to this year's Christmas shopping.
