Seniors Emma Beaird, Emily Wilson and Ryan Boemer advanced to All Region Choir, along with junior Lili Holguin, and sophomore Rachel Ward.
Seniors Julia Kirby and Cole Lucas advanced to All District Choir, as did sophomore Cody Coen and freshman Reagan Boerner.
The WHS choir has been working for months to ensure that they were contest ready, and these results seem both exciting and expected to choir director Mr. Chestnut.
“They began working in August preparing music for these two rounds, and their preparation and hard work paid off,” Chestnut said. “To have five kids place in the top five chairs is a testament to their hard work and talent.”
As these students look forward to All District and All Region, many of them are looking forward to performing at home. According to Beaird, WHS will proudly host the All Region Concert this year.
“I’m so excited to see our hard work paying off, and honored that we are hosting the All Region Choir Clinic & Concert in our very own Durant Auditorium,” Beaird said.
