Attention sophomores, juniors, and seniors – There is a new scholarship opportunity available. The Optimist International Essay Contest is open to all high school students who are under age 18 as of October 1, 2015. The first place winner will receive a $2,500 scholarship and the deadline to turn in your essay is December 14, 2015. The topic for the 700 – 800 word essay is “Lead by Example: Reality or Fiction”. For more information and an application, come by the Counseling Center on the 2nd floor. Students must turn in a copy of their birth certificate with their application. Remember, this scholarship is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors and the deadline is approaching soon.
