This scholarship awards grants of $4,000, $3,000, and $2,000 to graduating seniors with the best essay on “Stephen F. Austin, The Father of Texas”. The purpose of the essay contest is to encourage students to explore the pioneer spirit of Texas. The entry deadline is January 31, 2017.
