Attendance Info

PER WISD STUDENT HANDBOOK:

ALL notes must be turned in within 3 days of returning to school.

IF the contact is made by phone or the student is signed out via phone or in person, the parent must provide written notification of the reason for the absence when the student returns to school.

Absences not cleared within three (3) days will be considered unexcused.

Note: Unless the absence is for a statutorily allowed reason under compulsory attendance laws, the district is not required to excuse any absence, even if the parent provides a note explaining the absence.

Excused absences will not be granted for family vacations/trips or activities not related to school.
