SENIOR YEARBOOK DONATION NOMINATIONS

We have had a number of yearbooks graciously donated by parents that accidentally ordered multiple books. Due to their generosity, we are going to give these donated books to Weatherford High School Class of 2020 Seniors. Please nominate a senior below. If they have already purchased or received a WHS MelonVine Yearbook for this year, they won't be eligible (and we'll pick another name from the nominations). This giveaway is intended to get these donated books into the hands of a Kangaroo Senior who hasn't gotten a yearbook for whatever reason. <3

We'll accept nominations through May 22nd! Send those names! :)

There will be 2 more YEARBOOK distribution days @ WHS -- May 27th @ 6pm-8pm and June 10th 10am-Noon

Please nominate on the Google Form linked to this announcement

MelonVine Yearbooks -- SOLD OUT!

We're sad with Friday's news from the Governor that we will not be returning to school this year, news about the Prom being cancelled, and graduation plans in the air. We're heartbroken too, that we will not be able to mass distribute, in our traditional fashion, the MelonVine Yearbooks that we've created all year long especially for YOU! But...we have never been more thankful that we captured ALL there was of this year for YOU!

We HAVE SOLD OUT!

Weatherford ISD Schools Closed for the Remainder of the 2019-2020 School Year

Dear Weatherford ISD Families –

Today, Texas Governor Greg Abbott amended his Executive Order, calling for all schools in the state of Texas to close for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. This means Weatherford ISD facilities will remain closed to the public and all events/activities will be canceled.

Weatherford ISD will continue offering distance learning to all students through the end of this school year. The final day of distance learning will be Thursday, May 28th. We will also continue offering free meals to children of age 18 and under.

We know this decision may be disappointing to our students and that it raises many questions, particularly for our senior class and their families. We expect to receive information and guidance from Mike Morath, Texas Commissioner of Education, next week regarding graduation ceremonies.

Weatherford ISD is an amazing school district with staff who are dedicated to caring for our students and families. Our staff and our families have risen to the challenges posed by the COVID-19 closing.

We thank you for your patience, flexibility, and understanding as we work continue to provide for our students.

Rod Townsend
Interim Superintendent
