On Wednesday, October 15, Weatherford High School will be administering the PSAT. The test will take place between 8:30 a.m. and approximately 11:45 a.m., and mega lunch will be held after the conclusion of the test.

On October 11, Weatherford High School will be holding it's Sixth Annual Kangaroo Craft Sale. The event will be held at the high school, and will run from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

On Saturday, October 4, the WHS Fighting Roo Band competed at the U.S. Bands competition held in Burleson, TX. The band performed their show Drive, and came in third place in the Class 5A rankings.

On Friday, October 10, Weatherford High School will raise awareness for breast cancer at a “Pink Out” themed pep rally. “Pink out” pep rallies help show support, respect, and compassion for the people that not only fight breast cancer, but also for those who research breast cancer and cures for future victims.

As the 2014 Fall tennis season nears its end, the Weatherford Kangaroo tennis team is very excited to head to the playoffs for the second consecutive year. Roo Tennis will take on Paschal tomorrow, October 2. The match will be at home and will begin at 4:00 p.m.

The Junior World Affairs committee will be hosting Dallas Police Department Deputy Chief Vernon Hale on Thursday, October 2, as he speaks on crime related issues as they apply to law enforcement. The presentation will be held in Durant Auditorium during Megalunch.

The Lady Roos Volleyball team is currently selling PINK OUT shirts to raise money for breast cancer awareness. Students, faculty and community members can order shirts using the attached order form, and orders will be accepted through September 29, 2014.

The Workforce Solutions program will be presented to any interested WHS students on Wednesday, October 1. The presentation with take place during Megalunch, and will be held in Durant Auditorium.
