Fightin' Roo Band Earns Division 1 Rating On October 18, the Fightin’ Roo Marching Band competed in the UIL Region VII Marching Contest in Burleson, TX. The band received it’s eighth consecutive first division rating.
College Fair Thursday, Oct. 23 On Thursday, October 23, WHS will hold the annual College Fair in Gyms B and C. The event will run from 8:15 a.m. to 10:41 a.m., and students will attend during their 1st and 2nd period classes.
Picture Retakes Oct. 31 On October 31, Lifetouch Photography will be at WHS to provide students with their final opportunity to be photographed for the 2015 Melon Vine. The photo sessions will begin at 11:30 a.m., and will continue through the end of the school day.
WHS Choir Students Advance to District, Region On October 11, ten WHS choir students participated in round two of the Texas All State Choir Audition, and nine of the students earned a spot in the All Region or All District choirs.
