The 2019 graduating class received over $3,700,000 in scholarships!  New scholarship opportunities are arriving in the counselor's offices regularly.
 
 
Project Opportunity is a scholarship based on financial need for students planning to attend Weatherford College. The students must turn in their application during their sophomore or junior year. Project Opportunity students can receive up to $5,000 to cover their tuition, books, and supplies at Weatherford College for two years. Please use the following link to fill out the application for Project Opportunity.  This must be completed by the end of your Junior year for you to qualify for this scholarship.

Tri-County Electric Cooperative’s 2020 Youth Tour and Scholarship applications are now open!

 

One of the things that sets electric cooperatives apart from other providers is our commitment to community. Last year, we launched two programs to benefit the futures of our young members, the Government-In-Action Youth Tour and the Tri-County Electric Cooperative Scholarship! These opportunities are back in 2020 and ready for applications from students at Weatherford High School.

 

Government-In-Action Youth Tour - This is an ALL-EXPENSE-PAID, 10-day trip to Austin and Washington D.C., June 17-26, 2020. This trip is for current sophomores and juniors. Additional details and eligibility requirements are available hereSix winning applicants will also receive a $2,000 scholarship for college or trade school.

The Brockman Scholars Program invites applications for a merit-based full-ride scholarship that covers five years of study at the College Station campus of Texas A&M University.

 

The Brockman Scholarship supports four years of undergraduate study in an approved Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics (STEM) program followed by the one-year MS Business graduate degree for non-business majors at Texas A&M’s Mays Business School.

 

Top students are encouraged to apply for this prestigious scholarship via the application portal at www.brockmanfoundation.org.

 

Applications for study beginning in the 2020 – 2021 academic year are open on September 1, 2019. The application deadline is 5pm United States Central Time on December 1, 2019.

The Brockman Scholarship covers tuition fees in full, room and board, transportation, books and supplies, and an overseas study opportunity. The BSP offers around 50 new scholarships each year.

 
The Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute awards more than $1 million in college scholarships to exceptional student leaders each year. High school seniors nationwide who demonstrate leadership, drive, integrity, and citizenship are invited to apply for the 2020 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program. This program annually provides college-bound students with $10,000 renewable scholarships – up to $40,000 total per recipient – and supports them as they lead and serve in college and beyond. Help put promising young leaders in the running to join our 10th class of Scholars. Share this news with candidates who exemplify these characteristics inside and outside the classroom and encourage them to apply.
 
Applications for the 2020 GE-Reagan Foundation Scholarship Program are accepted until Jan. 3, 2020. Additional information, eligibility requirements, and a link to the application are available online. Frontier Business Scholarship
  • Deadline: December 13, 2019
  • Amount: $1,000 scholarship to use toward education expenses
  • How to apply: Write or produce/film a well-crafted elevator pitch explaining why you would be an ideal hire for the job of your dreams. 
  • Criteria: Entrants must be graduating 2020 high school seniors or enrolled undergraduate students actively pursuing a business-related degree at a university, community college, or technical college located in Texas.
