Welcome!

My name is Philip Klafta and I teach kids.

I attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas for my undergraduate degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. I also attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas for my Masters degree in Educational Technology.

I've been teaching since 1994 where and have been here at Weatherford since 2014. I have taught every grade level from 8th-College and most any math subject a high school offers: Algebra 1, Geometry, Math Models, TAAS remedial (yes, that was even before TAKS which was before STAAR), Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Statistics and Computer Science/Programming.

I try to keep myself available for tutoring most every day before or after school, but it is best to check with me before you come in as faculty meetings or personal things can pull me away. I will, of course, be available during the Study Hall (A) time, but you will need to get a pass from me ahead of time.
