My name is Philip Klafta and I teach kids.
I attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas for my undergrad degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. I also attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas for my Masters degree in Educational Technology.
This is my 4th year at Weatherford and I'm having a grand time but I have been teaching since 1994 and my classroom experience has been quite varied. I have taught every grade level from 8th-12th and most any math subject a high school offers: Algebra 1, Geometry, Math Models, TAAS remedial (yes, that was even before TAKS), Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Computer Programming and Statistics. This will be my first year teaching Statistics and I'm looking forward to the challenge.
I try to keep myself available for tutoring most every day before or after school, but it is best to check with me before you come in as faculty meetings or personal things can pull me away. I will, of course, be available during the Mega Lunch for tutoring. I have not seen the schedule for this yet, so I do not know what days/times I will be available.
