My name is Philip Klafta and I teach kids.
I attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas for my undergrad degree in Secondary Mathematics Education. I also attended Midwestern State University in Wichita Falls, Texas for my Masters degree in Educational Technology.
This is my 5th year at Weatherford and I'm having a grand time but I have been teaching since 1994 and my classroom experience has been quite varied. I have taught every grade level from 8th-College and most any math subject a high school offers: Algebra 1, Geometry, Math Models, TAAS remedial (yes, that was even before TAKS), Pre-Calculus, Trigonometry, Computer Programming and Statistics.
I try to keep myself available for tutoring most every day before or after school, but it is best to check with me before you come in as faculty meetings or personal things can pull me away. I will, of course, be available during the Mega Lunch for tutoring on Wednesdays and I'm usually willing to help A lunch daily. I do have duty/meetings B lunch on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays, so I'm not available at those times. I also have Computer Programming club on Mondays during B lunch.
